When you start a paid subscription your credit card is charged immediately for the first month and an auto-renewal is created.

Your subscription will automatically renew each month unless you cancel your account.

If you cancel a paid subscription, the auto-renewal is removed from your payment card. You will continue to have access to all paid content and features through the end of the current, paid subscription period.

When the paid subscription period ends, your account will revert to a free account. As a previous subscriber, you will continue to have access to any lists you have created and you will be able to change their status (public/private) and delete them. You will not be able to create new lists or add items to existing lists without an active, paid subscription.

All other paid-subscription content and features will no longer be accessible once the subscription period ends.

These are the same allergens recognized by Disney on their allergy-friendly menus. 

Coconut is classified as a fruit, not a botanical nut. Many people that are allergic to tree nuts can eat coconut safely.

That said, since the FDA considers coconut a tree nut, the Friendliest.app will identify meals with coconut or coconut oil as not tree nut-friendly.

Oats are not one of the top 8 food allergens nor are they an allergen Disney readily accommodates.

Due to the high chance of gluten cross-contamination in oats, the Friendliest.app attempts to identify and note any meals that Disney considers gluten allergy-friendly, but contain oats or an oat product in the listed ingredients.

No. Disney does not guarantee that any of their menu items all completely allergen-free.

Likewise, while the Friendliest.app attempts to provide the most accurate, complete and up-to-date allergy information, we can not guarantee any meal or menu item is completely allergen-free.

The Friendliest.app tracks both menu items that are part of Disney's official plant-based offerings and menu items where we can confirm the full ingredients meet Disney's plant-based definition.

The Friendliest.app uses the Pwned Password API when you sign-up for an account or change your password.

This compares a hash of your desired password against a database of more than half a billion password hashes previously exposed in data breaches. If a match is found, you will need to choose a different password to sign-up or change your password.

The Friendliest.app takes data security and privacy very seriously.

Security
All data is secured via HTTPS between the Friendliest.app and your browser. Identifying data (name, email) can be stored unencrypted at rest in our databases. Passwords and other sensitive data are encrypted both in transit and at rest.

Privacy
WE DO NOT SELL YOUR DATA and we ensure we do not share data beyond what is absolutely necessary to deliver the functionality of our application.

While we do not use any 3rd party tracking or analytics within the Friendliest.app, we do utilize some 3rd party services to run our application. These services include transaction email processors (sign-up confirmation email), payment processors and cloud hosting providers. The short answer: No. We are putting all of our efforts into making the Friendliest.app the best web application it can be. That includes ensuring it is a great experience across all devices.

The long answer: We do not agree with the monopolistic way Apple and Google control payments on their app stores. Currently, both companies take 30% of all subscriptions for the first year (lowering to 15% after a customer has been subscribed for 12 months). That is a lot!

By comparison, our payment processor charges 2.9%, plus a flat $.30 fee per transaction.

This means processing a $2 monthly subscription costs us around $.36 through our payment processor. That same transaction would cost $.60 if a customer signed up through either the iOS or Play stores.

If we decide to offer yearly subscriptions down the road, things get worse. Processing a $24 yearly subscription would cost us around $1.00 through our payment processor. That same transaction would cost us $7.20(!) through either the iOS or Play stores. Ouch!

We determined early on that we would not be able to hit our price point if we offered subscriptions through the Android/iOS app stores (a requirement of publishing to either platform). Instead we are focusing on delivering the great web app experience.

The Friendliest.app started as a #100DaysOfCode project. We strive to be completely open about the technologies and tools used to run the Friendliest.app.
